Ensemble/Orchestra

This illustrious group harmoniously combines musical talents with a range of abilities; specialising in piano, Violin, viola and cello. This ensemble dynamically evolves with every term in a grand orchestral masterpiece for our various concerts within the year, enhanced by percussion, woodwind, and brass accompaniment, which are the highlight of the performances.
Under the mentorship of our dedicated teachers showcasing an unparalleled blend of talent, dedication, and sheer passion on the during rehearsal and on stage!
At CYM Music performances, the stage comes alive with a dynamic fusion of strings, brass, woodwind, and percussion talent! exploring a repertoire and vibrant sound that could otherwise be beyond their wildest musical dreams. Get ready to be part of this electrifying musical synergy!

Senior Ensemble

Our Senior Ensemble is from the age of 13 and above. They meet every Friday evening during term time from 6.00 pm till 7.30 pm at out music centre. They perform a variety of styles of music, ranging from classical pieces, Jazz, Caribbean and African music.

Junior Ensemble

The Junior Ensemble from the age of 6 – 12 also takes place at out music centre from 4.30 pm to 6.00 pm on Friday.

THE

Choir

CYM Choir provides great opportunity and fun platform for boys and girls from the age of 6 – 18 who enjoys singing and being part of close-knit team to commit to demanding but rewarding schedule to express with the matchless quality of their voices through singing. The rehearsal will begin with 30 minutes of voice training and exercises and will dive into the choir practice for 1 hour.

Senior Choir

Our Senior Choir is from the age of 13 - 18. They meet every Thursday evening during term time from 6.00 pm till 7.30 pm at out music centre. They perform a variety of styles of music, ranging from classical pieces, Nigro spiritual, Caribbean and African music.

Junior Choir

Rehearsals for the Junior Choir from the age of 6 – 12 takes place at our music centre from 4.30 pm to 6.00 pm.
Everyone is required to participate actively with punctuality for the parts to balance, so please make every effort to attend once you have committed to join. Register to join us (link) No audition needed.

Open Rehearsal

We encourage friends who may be interested in singing with us to come along to an open rehearsal, and we love having friends and family at our concerts.
We kindly encourage anyone who might like to be part of the choir to come along to a rehearsal to see what it is like; the first two weeks of the term will be held as ‘open rehearsals’, and subsequently will be required to pay to be part of the group, so the more, the merrier.

Concert or Recital Dress code.

Please note that the dress code for concerts, unless otherwise stated, is ALL BLACK: girls should wear a mid/long-sleeved top, below-knee skirts and tights (or trousers) and shoes; men/boys should wear long-sleeved button-up shirts, long trousers and black shoes.
