Pick your instrument
All instruments live in a family of instruments! All of the instruments in each family share a lot in common, so once you master one it’s normally really easy to learn one of the others in the same family!
If you’re not sure what instrument is perfect for you then have a look around and see which one excites your imagination!
01
Strings
These instruments all have strings and are often played with a bow! Some of their star players include the Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass.
02
Woodwind
Some of these instruments have reeds and some of them don’t, they can also be made of a wide range of materials! This is a super diverse group of instruments which includes the flute, saxophone, clarinet, and bassoon.
03
Brass
A family built of metal, all these instruments work by blowing raspberries! This is a very big family, but you will expect to see the trumpet, trombone, and tuba here!
04
Guitar
These all vary in size and sounds, there are guitars for all kinds of music. Everything from electric guitar and bass guitar to ukulele and classical guitar, they have all the genres covered!
05
Percussion
If it goes boom, crash or ting then this is the family you are looking for! Drum kit, timpani, xylophone and beyond, this family likes to be loud!
06
Voice
Everyone has one and everyone can use it! This team probably has the most instruments in the world, and they can be used by themselves or in groups!
07
Keyboard & Piano
Technically this actually belongs with its friends in the percussion family but it’s such a big figure we thought we would give it a space of its own!
